Professional in Training


The Professional-in-Training membership   is limited to only post-doctoral fellows or physicians in a residency program. This category offers the most complete set of ACSM publications and event discounts, as well as voting rights to chart the course of the future of exercise science and sports medicine. This category receives the same benefits as the Professional category noted in the chart below.

Alliance


The Alliance of Health and Fitness membership lets professionals access ACSM’s Health & Fitness Journal in print and archived digitally, as well as other health fitness focused benefits as indicated in the chart below.

Student


The Student membership is for an undergraduate, graduate or medical student includes digital subscriptions to ACSM publications. Details of additional benefits are noted in the chart below.

International e-Membership
Professionals and students residing in select low-income countries are eligible for electronic-only ACSM membership at no cost, this includes online access to ACSM journals. Individuals residing in countries recognized on the World Health Organization's Hinari List are eligible. Confirm your country is on the list .

All ACSM memberships run for 12 months beginning the month you sign-up. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Memberships can only be changed within 30 days of payment; a $10 fee will be assessed for changes. Membership type can also be changed during renewal at no cost.
