ACSM's Health & Fitness Journal: Worksite Health Promotion CEC Course

Worksite Health Promotion is a coordinated and comprehensive set of health promotion strategies used at the workplace to optimize well-being and productivity while lowering total health-related costs. It’s a win-win for employees and employers alike, providing better quality of life, increased job satisfaction, and lower out-of-pocket medical costs for employees and a more productive workforce and lower health-related costs for employers.

This Worksite Health Promotion CEC Bundle contains 30 questions based on the Worksite Health Promotion columns published in 2014 and 2015 in ACSM’s Health & Fitness Journal®. These six columns and the accompanying CEC test offer users valuable information regarding important worksite health promotion topics ranging from best practice design principles and primary prevention strategies to standing desks and obesity solutions in corporate America. This bundle also includes two case examples, one on active transportation, bicycling to work and another on workplace well-being program design.

Learning Objectives

Those who use this CEC bundle should gain a better understanding of worksite health promotion best practice strategies, primary prevention strategies for the workplace, and learn more about obesity solutions for the workplace.
