Course Description

This course outlines what osteoporosis is and how it’s diagnosed, as well as risk factors, prevalence, pathophysiology and current management.

Learning objectives:

  • Define and recognize osteoporosis from standard diagnostic practices. 
  • Describe the pathophysiology and risk factors of osteoporosis.
  • List, and compare the efficacy of, current medical management.

All course content will be presented to you electronically upon completion of your purchase. This includes the voice over powerpoint file, self-test and certificates (certificates awarded upon successful completion of the self-test). ACSM will not offer refunds, transfers or course credits for not completing courses prior to their expiration date or for duplicate purchases. This course expires one year after purchase date.
