Bridging the Gap: Where Body Neutrality Meets the Fitness Professional
1 CEC
Presented by Samantha Christy
Description: Is the fitness industry cultivating positive habits or promoting harmful obsessions with health? Joyful Movement (Intuitive Movement) are evidence-based frameworks that teach people to be active in ways that feel empowering and are from a place of self-care. It means teaching people to celebrate what their body can do, instead of perpetuating burn and earn culture. Fitness professionals can use these approaches to empower their clients towards goals beyond weight-management and fit physiques. This session will explore how trainers can begin encouraging joyful movement, body neutrality, health at every size and still help clients achieve their goals.
