Parkinson’s is a chronic neurodegenerative disease that reduces motor function, and some of its symptoms, such as tremors, bradykinesia, and flexed-forward head posture, can reduce gait efficiency and increase fall risk.
Boxing programs have shown promise in improving functional performance outcomes while also improving participant quality of life. This article examines how boxing programs can improve functional performance outcomes and quality of life measures in people with Parkinson’s disease.
