Annual Meeting 2023 | Priscilla M. Clarkson Tutorial Lecture | Cellular Mechanisms Underlying Exercise Response Heterogeneity during Aging

1CEC

Skeletal muscle is remarkably adaptive, increasing mass and strength in response to resistance exercise training, but that response becomes blunted and more variable as we age. This course explores the role of muscle stem cells in muscle adaptation, as well as potential interventions to reduce exercise response variability in older individuals.
