WEBINAR DESCRIPTION
The COVID-19 pandemic brought the sporting world to a standstill. Professional, college and youth sports around the world were postponed or canceled. The sports medicine community was also quiet during this time. As the world begins to reopen, sports and sports medicine are following suit. However, proceeding too quickly and without a purposeful and well thought-out approach may prove disastrous.
Join our distinguished panel of sports medicine physician scientists as they discuss the unique considerations of youth, college, professional and elite competitive athletes, with respect to the infectious disease and cardiac processes. In addition, they will examine youth sports, the NCAA and major professional sports, and how each of these returned to play with a focus on the overall risks, benefits and subsequent knowledge learned from these experiences.
