Description
The Diversity Action Committee is charged with developing, recommending to the Board of Trustees and implementing once approved a plan of action that increases the number of racial/ethnic minority persons who become members, Fellows, and leaders in ACSM, increases the number of women members who become Fellows and leaders in ACSM and evaluates options for ACSM to work with the broader scientific, business, governmental, and philanthropic communities toward greater participation. The Committee facilitates the ACSM Leadership & Diversity Training Program which has successfully recruited and retained underrepresented minority members to the College
Eligibility
The Diversity Action Committee shall consist of no less than ten members and not more than eight Fellows. The appointments shall be made on the basis of expertise required by the duties of the Committee.
