Description
This committee maintains the quality and efficacy of the Exercise is Medicine® (EIM) Credential based on changes in both health care and exercise professional qualifications, standards of care and best practices. This includes reviewing and modifying the EIM credential structure, online training program and requirements, and developing strategies to expand the pool of EIM Credentialed professionals.
Eligibility
The EIM Credential Committee is comprised of multi-disciplinary experts from the fields of exercise science, medicine, public health and physical activity who have a vested interest in ensuring that EIM equips certified exercise professionals with the knowledge and skills to work effectively with health care providers and patients through the EIM Credential. Committee members are familiar with the fitness industry landscape, exercise professional preparation and the health care setting, and desire to further the mission of Exercise is Medicine. Appointments will be made based on the expertise and experience needed to carry out special projects and tasks to be performed by the EIM Credential committee.
