Description

ActivEarth is an innovative initiative focused on improving public health, the environment, and the economy through greater levels of active transportation. This proactive initiative addresses growing global climate change concerns through four strategic imperatives:

  • Unite multidisciplinary thought and action leaders
  • Leverage science and research to fuel substantive change
  • Educate and mobilize stakeholders
  • Collaborate and advocate

The ActivEarth Task Force actively plans and implements strategies and tactics to accomplish the goals outlined above.

Eligibility

The appointments to the ActivEarth Task Force shall be made on the basis of expertise required by the duties of the committee. The President shall appoint the Chairperson for a term of three years, and this person may be reappointed for one additional three-year term. The Chairperson normally will have a minimum of one year experience on the Committee. The President shall appoint members for a period of three years, and members may be reappointed to one additional three-year term. New members are encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting session as non-voting guests and shall assume membership and voting privileges at the close of the Annual Meeting.
