Description
The Research Awards Committee promotes application for the Visiting Scholar, New Investigator and National Student Research Awards by means of the Sports Medicine Bulletin, Regional Chapters and Student Affairs Committee.
The Research Awards Committee reviews and ranks submitted applications and supporting materials for the Visiting Scholar, New Investigator and National Student Research Awards. In the case of the New Investigator and National Student Research Awards, only those abstracts accepted by the Program Committee for presentation at the Annual Meeting will be considered for the final selection
The Research Awards Committee chairperson will coordinate the rankings and forward the results to the ACSM office. The number of awards will be based on approved budget and the number and quality of applications received. The recipients will then be announced through the ACSM office in the April Sports Medicine Bulletin.
